In celebration of the 140th year anniversary of the epic battle of Rorke's Drift (22 January 1879), in which 139 British soldiers stood defiant against 4000 Zulu at an isolated mission station, the museum is proud to host an exhibition of local boy; Alfred Henry Hook, by acclaimed local historian L. P. Barnett.

Paul has both researched the long forgotten history of this local man; a native of Churcham and documents his emphatic rise from agricultural labourer, to one of the nations proudest sons and his heroic deeds that changed the global map for ever…
