Half-day seminar to explore the tax and national insurance implications of recruiting contractors, which are due to change in April 2020. This is a joint seminar with Sanderson Recruitment plc and we also have a guest speaker from accountants Crowe.

Topics to be covered include:

• History of IR35 and overview of the off-payroll rules
• What is changing in April 2020
• The legal tests for employment status
• How liability to tax/NI passes, and to whom; how to account for it at all levels
• What we have learned from the public sector changes, and likely market implications in the private sector

Who should attend?

• Medium and large companies (see definition below)
• Managing directors, CEOs
• Finance directors
• HR directors or those with executive responsibility for contractors

NB.  These changes do not affect small companies.  A company is ‘small’ if it meets two of the following criteria: turnover less than £10.2m, balance sheet total under £5.1m, less than 50 employees.

12.00 – Close
