Utilising job evaluation to reward employees post-lockdown

Online via Zoom

Tuesday 2nd June 2020

16.30 - 18.30 pm

As organisations come out of the lockdown we are expecting to see many changes to how organisations will work. Already we hear much about how new ways of working will embrace more trust and greater flexibility. However, with flexibility comes complexity, and with complexity comes a greater need for your underpinning processes to be absolutely spot on. Job evaluation is one of the most under-utilised processes available to HR. Since the introduction of GPG legislation we have seen a three-fold increase in equal pay cases, and more organisations than ever are reviewing their use of job evaluation. Our session today reminds us that job evaluation isn’t just about the pay, and gives us some ideas to consider when reviewing or introducing a new scheme.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Jane Baalam, Director, Reward Risk Management Ltd has spent the last 20 years championing good practice in Reward and benefits and encouraging organisations to do what’s best for them – not just what’s best practice. As a job evaluation specialist, she works with organisations supporting them to develop their use of job evaluation to underpin their organisation strategy. She also works with employment lawyers to help them develop and build their understanding of the impact of job evaluation on pay practices and how it can help in equal pay cases.
