Sing "Messiah" with the Stroud Refugee Aid Choir and the Capriol Orchestra

Sunday 22nd March 2020

Venue: Sub Rooms, George Street, Stroud GL5 1AE

Join other singers from around Gloucestershire for the fourth annual Stroud Refugee Aid Choir event! We will rehearse and perform a choral work in a day, this year it’s Handel’s Messiah! This evergreen oratorio is not just a Christmas event. It contains music of passion and fury as well as joy and triumph. The choir will be joined by the Capriol Chamber Orchestra and four excellent local soloists.

Previous concerts have been popular, sell out events and have raised thousands for charity. The choir is open to everyone, irrespective of background or experience.

The choir is formed of around 120 members who choose to join us each year for this special event. The aim is to raise as much money as possible for refugee related charities. For the 2020 concert our chosen charities are GARAS (Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Assylum Seekers) and Save the Children (for Syrian and Yemeni refugees).

Places are filling up fast so if you would like to join in click on the link below.
