Burns Night

Saturday 25th January 2020

From 19.00 pm

Celebrating Scotland's national poet Mr Robbie Burns ("Rabbie" to his mates) by serving three courses of delicious Scottish cuisine; leek and tattie soup, haggis with clapshot and of course deep-fried battered mars bars. Courses available as separate dishes or all three for £17.96 (the year of Robbie's death - the year of his birth was too cheap!). We also have hot toddies, the finest Scottish music, whisky and beer and a mini quiz. Anyone wearing a kilt or performing a recital will be treated to a free dram of whisky. No need to book, just rock up from 7pm and enjoy a very fun evening!

Hotpot and Pint Night

Monday 27th January 2020

18.00 - 19.30 pm

As well as our Hotpot and Pint Night, we're relaunching our Local's Behind the Bar Nights! Every Monday from 6pm till 7.30pm we'll have a different set of locals pulling pints for you. They'll have just 15 minutes training so you can expect to be overcharged, undercharged and have lots of badly pulled pints. Each set of locals will be raising money through tips, raffles shaking buckets or whatever they fancy for their chosen charities. The locals which generate the highest till takings in their 90 minutes work will also have those takings matched by us for their charity. First up are the Palmer-Greenaways (aka Cobweb Corner). Make sure you come in each Monday to see what daft antics your favourite locals are up to and mock their terrible pint-pulling at the same time.

Cheese Club

Thursday 30th January 2020

Cheese Club is back after a Christmas break with six exquisite cheeses paired with six delicious drinks. This month, as we start the new year, we take a look at the best new cheeses being produced in the current renaissance of British cheesemaking. Tickets are £17/head and available behind the bar now.

Saturday 1st February 2020

From 19.00 pm

We're delighted to host the winners of the BBC Food and Farming Award for "Best UK Drinks Producer" Ross-on-Wye Cider for a very special evening of cider tasting. The legendary Albert Johnson will be coming to the Sally with four very limited, very special kegs of unpasteurised, naturally carbonated, single-variety ciders produced from 100% fermented apple juice from Ross Cider's own orchards. (By comparison most commercial kegged ciders are pasteurised, artificially carbonated and watered down to the point where they contain as little as 35% fermented apple juice). To accompany this revolutionary cider showcase, Chef Brian will be serving up some sensational cider tapas from 7pm.
