A Neighbourhood Plan for a Safe and Stable Climate

12 June 2019

Time: 6:30 - 9pm

People wanting to take an active role to tackle climate change in Stroud can find out more at a workshop being organised by Stroud Town Council. The Neighbourhood Development Plan Climate Change Workshop being held at the Subscriptions Rooms in George Street on Wednesday June 12.

The workshop will be run by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and funded by Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

The Town Council is planning to review the Neighbourhood Development Plan so that it keeps pace the Town Council's commitment to become carbon neutral and to be more pro-active in reducing air pollution and greenhouses gases.

If we’re going to achieve carbon neutrality in the district, we all need to get involved, and support our local government in whatever it can do. Transition Stroud are keen to see as many people as possible getting involved with this kind of initiative, so if you can attend, please do!

There are limited spaces for the workshop which runs from 6.30pm to 9pm. Registration is via the Eventbrite website https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/neighbourhood-development-plan-climate-change-workshop-tickets-61925598131 or contact kim.cowan@stroudtown.gov.uk or phone 01453762817.
