Friends, feminists and crafters, lend me your ears! Always wanted to try embroidery but don’t know where to start?

Friends, feminists and crafters, lend me your ears! Always wanted to try embroidery but don’t know where to start? Come learn embroidery with Stroud born and bred Niamh from Wimperis Embroidery. I’ve been an embroidery artist for over 5 years, champion embroidery as a calming act of self care and have most recently been seen on the BBC2 program The Victorian House Of Arts and Crafts. In this Feminist Embroidery Workshop I’ll teach you 6 key stitches that can be used in lots of different ways. I’ve designed 3 new patterns for you to choose from, “feminist”, “grow”, and “shine”. You’ll be stitching on 100% cotton using DMC embroidery threads. Pick your pattern and your thread colours and I’ll help with the rest. This is a 2.5 hour workshop, and you’ll get to keep your work, including your own 4” Elbese embroidery hoop (a small company who make world renowned embroidery hoops, they’re actually based in Chalford!). This is an all gender, all age, all ability workshop, so please, come along and discover how brilliant embroidery is!
