Forest of Dean

Visit the Dean Forest Railway this Christmas or your chance to ride behind a real steam engine with Santa and his helpers on board - no queues for a grotto here!!

Each child will receive an age related gift and each adult will receive a mince pie and a miniature to help keep warm!

Our cafe will be offering seasonal refreshments all day. Our shop is well stocked with toys and gifts for both young and old.  Plenty of stocking filler ideas!

Pre-booking is essential.  Running dates and times are as follows:

Each trip lasts approximately 75 minutes, travelling through the forest from Norchard Station (GL15 4ET) to Parkend and back.

Online booking is highly recommended, as many of the trains sell out in advance. To book click on the link below.

All seating is allocated, and you will receive a ticket via email with you seating allocation after booking. Please note that the allocations are done manually, so there will be a delay between your booking and receiving your seating allocation, and in the interests of being able to better arrange the seating, the allocations will not be made until closer to the event.

Please note that under 2s do not need to be booked for and will travel for free but do not receive a present nor do they have a seat allocated. We regret that there is no wheelchair access on these trains.
