Victorian Christmas Webinar

Online via Zoom

Dates: 26/11/2020

The Victorians transformed the concept of Christmas! At the beginning 19th century, Christmas was barely celebrated, but by the end of the century it had become the biggest annual celebration, as we know it today. Feasting, carols, crackers, cards, gifts, trees and turkeys all have their origin in this era.

Let Lits, the Holst Birthplace Museum's resident food and wine expert, take us on a fun and informative online journey to discover the origin of our festive traditions.

This will be an online presentation via Zoom. Once you book your ticket, you will receive two emails – one from the Eventbrite ticketing system confirming your purchase, and one from Liz Giles containing the link to the online presentation itself (look for the link saying “Click here to join” – but don’t join until the evening of the event! The event begins at 6.30 but attendees should join at least 10 minutes before the start.) Please note that any queries should be directed to and NOT to the email address quoted in the email.

Tickets are £5 plus a small booking fee.
