Gloucestershire pub to host “Eggcellent” Easter fun day in support of Sue Ryder

Families are invited to hop along to a much-loved Gloucestershire pub this April for a day of food and Easter-themed fun in aid of healthcare charity, Sue Ryder.

The event featuring an egg hunt, face painting and more takes place at The Plough Inn, Prestbury between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday 8 April, with all donations from the day going to palliative, neurological and bereavement support charity, Sue Ryder, which runs Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice in Cheltenham.

As part of the fun, the pub will also be running a guess the name of the bear competition, with chance of taking the cuddly toy home. Plus, for those needing refreshment, they will have the bar open throughout with the kitchen open for lunch too.

Entry to the event is completely free, but to help raise as much money for the charity as possible, the Plough will be asking for donations to take part in some of the activities which also includes fun children’s games and charity tombola led by Sue Ryder volunteers.

Community Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Alysia Cameron Price, said: “The Easter event at the Plough is always a great day out for all the family and we’d encouraged as many people as possible hop on down. Not only is the day full of fun, but you will also be helping to raising vital funds so Sue Ryder can be there for families when it matters. A big thank you to our friends at The Plough for their ongoing support.”
