REVIEW: Stroud Festival of Food and Drink

Stroud

Stroud Festival of Food and Drink

Stroud has some of the best food and drink in the entire of the South West, what better way to celebrate this, than attending their annual food and drink festival.

REVIEW: Stroud Festival of Food and Drink

Being invited to the Stroud Festival of Food and Drink promotion evening, we had the opportunity to meet some of the speakers, sponsors and organisers, before getting to sample some of the fantastic food made and provided by the beautiful Burleigh Court which was delicious.

Event organiser Dan promised this year’s festival was going to be bigger, better and more immersive than any other year. This year’s event is more focused on local businesses & produce and sustainability, around 30,000 people are expected to descend upon Stroud between 19th-21st May.

REVIEW: Stroud Festival of Food and Drink

Expect a carnival atmosphere, with two bars, music, 40+ food trucks, Fawkes Place car park transformed into an uber cool food truck area, vegan alley located in Lansdown which sold out last year, roads will be closed and the area will be fully pedestrianised. The event is free to attend, and those that have stands will be offering food for everyone's pocket and palate.

The Subscription Rooms will be used to host ticketed events, which will include Jack Monroe and the wine wizard Oz Clarke as well offering whisky lovers or interested whisky wannabes to have an input at a Whisky masterclass.
