New Cricket Players Wanted

Venue: Ullenwood Bharat CC

Based in Brockworth and Ullenwood, Gloucester - Ullenwood Bharat Cricket Club are currently recruiting players across all XIs and are looking to strengthen at all levels to challenge for promotion.

The club was formed 2012 when Ullenwood CC and Bharat Sports merged. This was due to Ullenwood CC having a decline in player numbers and Bharat Sports searching for a new ground. A perfect match was found! 11 years later, with approximately 70 registered players we have multiple senior Saturday teams, two midweek senior teams, a Sunday XI and new for 2023, an under 15s and 4th Saturday senior side.

 

Over the last few years, the club achieved a huge milestone in the creation of a youth section delivering ECBs – All Stars and Dynamos programmes. The response to these programmes has been phenomenal, and as a result enabled the club to promote cricket to the local community.

We play our home matches at The Ullenwood Cricket Ground, situated next to the Crickley Hill Country Park and The Cotswold Chase Cricket Ground, located in Brockworth. Both grounds are easily accessible from

Our upcoming aim is to encourage greater participation and increase the amount of sporting opportunities available. In the mid-term out plan is create a fourth Saturday side, and increase youth cricket offering, to includes the age groups of under 9, 11 and 15.
