Everyman awards Sponsorship Cup to Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School
Everyman Theatre awards the prestigious Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce Sponsorship Cup to Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School
The Everyman Theatre annually awards the Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce (CCC) Sponsorship Cup to one of its key sponsors and this year has chosen to give the cup to Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School for their sponsorship of the Family Ticket for The Tiger Who Came ToTea, which played to packed houses at the Everyman during Half Term.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea is a delightful family show (aimed at pre-school and early primary age children) and is adapted from the beloved picture book by Judith Kerr. The Everyman Theatre worked closely with the school to create an innovative and bespoke package which would engage and inspire the children and enable the theatre to offer a reduced price ticket, available to families at every performance.
The package also gave children from Dean Close Pre-Preparatory and their feeder nurseries the chance to enjoy a performance of the show and for a lucky few, the chance to meet the Tiger himself. Katie Wells, Marketing Co-Ordinator at Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School said, “We are thrilled to have been awarded the CCC Sponsorship Cup for supporting The Tiger who came for Tea. The School strives to build successful partnerships within the local business community as it recognises the benefits to all involved. The Everyman created a dynamic package for us that allowed the School to reach out to families and friends in the local community as well as giving our own pupils the chance to enjoy a first class production and meet the cast. We very much look forward to working with The Everyman again in the future.”
Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School is set in beautiful grounds, close to the centre of Cheltenham in a modern, purpose-built building, benefitting from excellent facilities and resources. The school aims to provide a broad, exciting, child-centred curriculum which will stimulate young minds and ignite a lifelong love of learning, enabling children to develop and flourish and fulfil their potential.
Chief Executive of the Everyman, Mark Goucher added “We are delighted to award the CCC Sponsorship Cup to Dean Close Pre-Preparatory School and I would like to congratulate and thank them for their support. They are a new Everyman sponsor and we worked closely with them to create an excellent package. The Tiger Who Came To Tea was a perfect fit and we hope that we can develop an even stronger relationship with them and work together on future projects.”
