Find your happy place with more than £1,000 worth of prizes…
Celebrating the return to business in Cheltenham, Visit Cheltenham in partnership with Cheltenham Borough Council is encouraging people to get back to their #HappyPlaceCheltenham. The campaign is all about spotlighting the businesses that you love having back open, the hidden gems you might have found during lockdown, and sharing a sense of community as the town reopens fully. What better way to celebrate than by tagging your favourite places on social media, using the hashtag #HappyPlaceCheltenham, with a chance to win a prize at the same time?
Three prizes are being given away each week, and this week’s prizes for entries made on or before 8 June (winner selected on 9 June) are an overnight family stay at the Holiday Inn Express, a family pass to ride on the GWSR railway, and a £50 voucher for the Cosy Club. Six more prizes are up for grabs over the next two weeks, including a stay at the Cleeve Hill Hotel or The Cotswold Grange, dinner at Brasserie Blanc, a guided walking trip, a feast at The Coconut Tree, and a family pass to Sudeley Castle.
To enter and win one of these fabulous prizes, simply share a video or photo of your happy place in Cheltenham via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, using the hashtag #HappyPlaceCheltenham. There are different prizes available each week, so don’t forget you can enter weekly and show off more than one of your favourite places. Visit Cheltenham reminds you to be creative, and perhaps include a heart shape with your hands to really show your love for the town.
Winning entries so far have been added to the Visit Cheltenham blog, but include dog walks in Imperial Gardens, eating out at The Ivy, and watching the sun set on Leckhampton Hill. For full details of all the prizes, inspiration from the winning entries, and full details of how to enter, please go to www.visitcheltenham.com.
Speaking of the campaign, Cllr Victoria Atherstone, member for economy and development added: “Cheltenham is a thriving gem of the Cotswolds, renowned for its plethora of festivals, culture, restaurants, bars, hotels, history, events, shops, open parks & gardens, sporting activities – you name it – and at the heart of all of this is our vibrant community. Now is the time to showcase Cheltenham in all its glory as we look to the future and re-build. There are so many exciting opportunities in Cheltenham right now, so we hope this campaign helps to harness this positivity and contributes to the growing business confidence across the town and to the health and wellbeing of our communities.”
All that remains to add is stay safe, remember to follow all social distancing guidelines and please get out and about responsibly.
