Over 37,000 attend The Brewery Quarter switch-on

The Brewery Quarter Christmas lights switch-on went down an absolute snow storm over the weekend, with more than 37,500 people visiting the event.

With special appearances from singers, local panto stars and a string of princesses and superheroes, the whole evening was topped off with a special visit from Father Christmas.

Marketing and Communications Manager for The Brewery Quarter, Demelsa Coleman, said:

"This was our best year yet! The princesses and superheroes added to the vibrancy of the event, mingling with the crowds and posing for photos with the children - it was absolutely magical for everyone involved and wonderful to see The Brewery Quarter filled with so many smiling faces and so much excitement."
