Dry Point Etching

Starts 18th February 2020

Suitable for everyone, the dry point etching process involves mark making and inscribing images onto a dry point plate. Christine Felce will show you how to use etching tools and carborundum grit to bring texture to your image, ink up your plate, creating multiple editions of your print.

Memory Cloth

Starts 25th February 2020

We all collect bits and pieces from our lives - a feather, a precious note, a shell... join textile artist Kathleen Murphy who, over the 5 weeks, will teach you how to create your own unique hand-stitched textile story to record these wonderful memories.This is a great course if you've done the Creative Possibilities with Needle and Thread course, or if you have previous hand stitching experience.

The Upcycled Home

Starts 26th February 2020

Create useful objects from your old clothes with Jayne Emerson. We'll use reclaimed fabrics and a variety of textile techniques to create beautiful items such as peg bags, pot holders, shopping bags, reusable make up wipes / make up bag and cushion covers.

Sterling Silver Jewellery - Next Steps

Starts 24th February 2020

Having done your "Beginners" class, take your skills further. A series of classes focusing on soldering, sawing and doming sterling silver. We will experiment with these techniques and use them to create your own designs under the guidance of tutor and onsite maker Hayley Kruger.

Botanical Textile Design

Starts 26th February 2020

Experiment with a variety of printing methods, such as stencilling and screen printing. Learn about creative use of colour with Justyna Medon, experiment with textile pigments and create unique patterns inspired by nature.
