A Taste Of The Caribbean Arrives At Gloucester Docks

Gloucester

A new restaurant serving Caribbean and seafood cuisine is opening its doors to customers at Gloucester Docks just in time for the festive season..

Reece’s, will be located on Llanthony Road, at the site of the old Dockside Cafe, and will be open to customers from the 7th December.

The restaurant has undergone a total makeover that includes a total new shop front and signage, a modern new interior and kitchen, and a private dining room in the basements for private parties too,

Reece’s has created a delicious menu that includes traditional dishes such as curried goat and jerk chicken, as well as a range of meat and seafood dishes all with a twist of the Caribbean. The 'surf and turf’ option of the seasoned fillet steak and lobster tail is just divine!

In addition to an incredible food menu, Reece’s will also be serving a fantastic drinks menu that includes a range of beers, wines, cocktails alongside some Caribbean favourites such as Guinness Punch, Soursop Juice and Magnum.

Reece’s owner, Marvin Anderson said ...

“We are delighted to bring Reece’s to Gloucester Docks. Gloucester is definitely on the up when you consider the choice of foods people have to choose from, and we are delighted to add Caribbean to the mix.

We don’t just want to just give our customers great food. We want to give them an amazing dining experience. When people think about Reece’s, of-course I want them to think about the great food they were served, but its also important for me that they remember how well we looked after them and what a great time they had here.

Where possible our ingredients are bought fresh and locally, and our head chef really does create magic in the kitchen with his dishes. I have eaten a lot of home cooked Caribbean food in my lifetime and I promise you, his food is up there with the best.

The menu has been created to keep everybody happy. We have options for those who love seafood or a good steak, options for vegetarians and vegans, and we have children menu too. My favourite dishes on the menu are the curried crab and slow cooked rack of ribs.

The interest we have had in the restaurant has been incredible and we have taken an unbelievable amount of bookings for December already.

We cannot wait to open the doors and welcome customers to enjoy a true taste of the Caribbean here at Reece’s”

Reece’s is offering a festive menu during December with 2-courses and a drink for £19.99 or 3-courses and a drink for £24.99.

Reece’s opens on the 7th of December, and reservations to eat can be make by emailing.
