Cheltenham or Cambridge to take League 2 title

Cheltenham or Cambridge to take League 2 title

After the success of being promoted into the EFL League 1 for the 2021/2022 season all eyes are now fixed on winning the League 2 title. However, after what Cheltenham Town FC boss Michael Duff called a "flat performace" in the game against Newport County on Saturday the team left for home with a 1-0 defeat with just one match remaining.

A little luck went their way after Cambridge United who are the only other team who could take the title also lost their last match. So with one game left to play Cheltenham Town FC are currently leading the title with 2 points in hand.

The focus must now be on winning the last game of the season at home against Harrogate Town this coming Saturday, 8th May.  A draw will not be enough if Cambridge win their last game against the bottom of the league Grimsby Town as Cambirgde would take the title on goal difference so to secure the title the Robins must go all out for the win and take the League 2 title crown without worrying about the Cambridge result.

Saturday's final game of the season is available to watch live online just head on over to the website to buy your tickets.

Come on you Robins!
