GYC turns 30 this year! Find out how we will be marking this very special anniversary

September 2023 marks 30 years of Gloucestershire Young Carers supporting young carers across the county.

From humble beginnings in 1993 with just 5 young carers in a café in Stroud with our founder Helen Predgen-Lay to an award winning charity with a team of 25 supporting over 1000 young carers. Since the start we’ve stood shoulder to shoulder with young carers working hard to improve their everyday lives, future life chances and giving them a voice.

During our 30th anniversary year, we will take you through some of the highlights and milestones of our 30-year history, explore what has changed during that time, our plans and goals for the future plus exciting events and activities for fundraising and young carers to enjoy and celebrate this happy occasion with our charity.
