Smiths Auctions is part of a traditional firm of Chartered Surveyors who practice Estate Agency, Surveying and Auctioneering. We are therefore able to offer an extensive level of expertise in all aspects of property and chattels.  We are based in the small and attractive old market town of Newent in Gloucestershire.  We pride ourselves on providing clients with a professional and efficient service whilst at the same time retaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

SALES

We hold monthly sales of antiques and collectables including furniture, ceramics, glass, pictures, clocks, silver, jewellery and decorative arts. We also include an additional specialist section to each sale.

ONLINE BIDDING

The catalogue is available on-line one week before the sale. 

FREE VALUATIONS

We provide free valuations and sales advice for all potential auction items.  For small consignments we have 'drop in' valuations every Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 3pm or by appointment on other days.  Please note the deadline for entries is a minimum of two weeks prior to the sale and maybe earlier if we meet our maximum capacity.

For larger consignments please telephone for an appointment or home visit.

OPENING HOURS

The saleroom is based in an old Methodist chapel in Culver Street, just 75 yards from our Estate Agents Office in Broad Street.

The auction rooms are open Monday to Thursday 10am - 5pm.  Please note the saleroom is closed on Fridays (except for sale days).
