DRAWING THE LINES

Cheltenham

28 August - 14 September 2019

drawing the lines

In association with the Cheltenham Paint Festival, ‘Drawing the Lines’ will showcase work from some of the biggest names in urban art today.

30 years on from Operation Anderson, the biggest anti-graffiti police operation in the history of British policing, many of the artists arrested that day have since become household names and are paid to paint the world over. Inkie, Banksy, Nick Walker and the Bristol art scene paved the way for fledgling artists to take up the can and now street art and graffiti is a world-wide phenomenon celebrated in cities and towns everywhere.

The Cheltenham Paint Festival seeks to bring the world’s finest artists to the town to inspire the next generation of artists and Drawing the Lines is their celebration of that contemporary urban art culture.
