GCSE and A-Level Portraiture Skills Workshop

Cheltenham

Dates: Saturday 4th Feb 2023

GCSE and A Level Portraiture Skills Workshop

Saturday 4 and Saturday 11 February, 11am – 4pm, in the Foyle Learning Centre
Two workshops aimed at GCSE and A Level students who want to learn how to paint a portrait or improve existing skills.

One of our We Are Creators artists in residence Zack Thorne will show you the foundations of portrait painting: from proportions of the face to mixing and creating your own skin tone palette. Tasks will be broken down into manageable steps to help you accomplish your final portrait using acrylic paints. Participants will paint a self-portrait and will have their photograph taken on.

Learn how to mix colours and be given a digital skin tone palette to help you with your own skin tones. The final outcome will be acrylic on an A3 panel. This is a great introduction to portraits and will give you the skills to work independently. Places need to be booked in advance and the price of £20 includes both sessions.
