Butter Knife carving with Dickon Morris: Cotswolds

Daylesford

Learn how to transform a humble piece of wood into a unique, beautiful and useful object to treasure for years to come.

This 3 hour workshop is led by Cotswolds wanderer and artisanal maker Dickon Morris, who will take you through the stages of making your very own hand-carved wooden butter knife & butter dish out of naturally fallen wood from our very own Daylesford Estate. Dickon will provide all the tools, materials and advice necessary.

In this workshop, we will look at knife technique and cuts, reading the grain and how to finish your butter knife. As well as your butter knife, you get to take away a finishing pack, including sandpaper and home-made bees wax salve, perfect for keeping your butter knife in great condition.

Suitable for beginners and booking is essential.

Please note, you must be over 18 to participate in the butter knife carving workshops.
