OH crumbs sp0ring festival

online Forest of Dean

Dates: 10/04/2021

Venue: on line Zoom

3 years ago we- Leonard Custard apprentice clown, Maggie Clutterbuck Forest Bard & variety star Darren Hoskins decided there was a gap in the Forest of Dean for writers, poets, performers, story tellers -etc

It had always seemed to be about getting into a car and driving a distance away to hear and find space to share words/ ideas

The Bream Coffee shop (a Cafe with great cakes) -apparently the largest village in England- agreed to host a regular monthly evening and since then we have enjoyed healthy audiences.somewhere between 20 and 40 + gathering to take part and support a series of special guests and a growing ensemble of local writers.

Shunted onto Zoom last year 'Oh Crumbs' "a lively accessible spoken word event" continues to offer live space for poets, story tellers and performers.

With a Thursday evening spot every 2 weeks from 8pm we have welcomed performances from many places

live stories from Iran, Donegal, Cardiff, rants from London, tales from Ruardean,Salford, poems from Bream, Gloucester,

usually a special guest on alternate weeks and open mike every time.

Next week we are running a Spring Festival with Scots born story teller Rona Barbour this Thursday 8th from 8pm
