JUST A FEW OF THE HIGHLIGHTS AT THIS YEAR'S CHELTENHAM FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL
This year's Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival, 23rd to 25th June 2023, in Montpellier Gardens, is just what we all need
after a cold winter indoors; be sure not to miss it. Amongst this year's Festival's highlights will be Lisa Faulkner, the
actress, cookery writer and celebrity co-host of "John and Lisa's Kitchen." Lisa will be giving a cooking demonstration
on Saturday, 24th June, where you can learn new tips and tricks on becoming a Master Chef.
During the three-day Festival, the Lansdown Kitchen Chef's Theatre will host several inspiring local chefs who will
demonstrate their creative cooking, sharing their passion for food and some of their culinary tips.
• Yealands Winery is an opportunity to sample some of the best wine from New Zealand. The coast surrounding their vineyard inspires this wine, so close to the ocean that the sea spray can mist the vines. The beauty of New Zealand's environment influences how they craft wine, respectful of nature and the land, sustainable winemaking and creating at its best. In addition to the wine masterclass, wine experts offer a range of free wine talks. The tastings include wines from South Africa, New Zealand, Italy, California, France, and Washington State, USA.
• • Cheese masterclasses, a cheese lover's dream to sample the delights on offer in our masterclasses hosted by Ned Palmer, the UK's leading expert on cheese and author.
• • The Great British Cheese Renaissance
• • Extreme Cheesing – how can a cheese smell so bad but taste so good?
• • France vs Britain – comparing two great Cheese cultures
• • Ark of Cheese – exploring Goat, Cow and Sheep cheese
• • Six Counties Cheese with Beer and Cider matching
Grab a friend and discover why cheese is as complex, intriguing, and unique as wine.
• • Live music offers some of the bands around; the Whisky Priests bring you the luck, charm, and talent of the Irish, and Splat Rat return with their traditional folk music, taking songs of old and giving them a modern-day twist. Join friends and family and relax to the music with a glass of Prosecco perfectly chilled.
The Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival offers an exciting day out for children with street theatre and traditional Punch and Judy. There is live music throughout the weekend, and you can buy a range of delicious foods, pickles, sweets, and alcoholic items from over 130 exhibitors.
Dog Show
The Cheltenham Animal Shelter is our Charity of the Year, they will be organising several ‘doggie’ events over the weekend, including a Fun Dog Show on Saturday 24th, sponsored by Cheltenham’s ‘Be More Bob’. The £3 registration fee will go to the Cheltenham Animal Shelter. So is your dog a Fabulous Fella, a Lovely Lady, a Top Rescue, a Cute Puppy, or a Golden Oldie? Full details of the various events, including the Dog Show classes and how to pre-register are shown on the Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival’s website.
Tickets are available on pre-order from just £9 for an adult ticket. Children under 16 go free, provided a ticket-purchasing adult accompanies them. Pre-booking for the Masterclasses is essential. For further information and to buy your tickets, visit www.cheltenhamfooddrinkfestival.co.uk
