Sam Merron

The Sattva Himalayan journey is an integrative practice that will begin with an intention to release what is no longer serving us, which could be a negative block or memory.  As we progress along the journey, we cultivate a positive quality in its place.  Each journey combines:

Pranayama – breathing techniques

Asana – yoga poses and stretches

Kryia – working with the energetic body

Dhyana – meditation techniques to calm the mind

Gyana – the wisdom that weaves all the aspects together

Savasana – guided by yoga nidra to experience the 3 stages of body and mind grounding and relaxing, withdrawing the senses and letting the mind go.

Kryia practices come undiluted from the Himalayas, and they help us release stuck energy from our physiology and conditioning from our nervous system leading to personal growth and expansion.

The journey uses the above practices with music to help balance and enhance the body–mind–spirit connection. There are some powerful breathing practices such as breath of fire and a reasonable level of fitness is required to participate. This practice is not suitable for those who are pregnant, have glaucoma or serious heart problems and anyone with a pre-existing medical condition is advised to consult with their Dr before attending.

Each Journey is unique and different intentions can be set to make changes that carry beyond the yoga mat to live a more balanced life. This is ideal for anyone that is interested in experiencing the different aspects of traditional Yoga from the source.

Minimum age for attendees 18 years.

It is advised not to practice on a full stomach due to the inclusion of some belly exercises.

For this class, you will need to bring your own:

Yoga Mat Cushion Sleep Eye Mask (not essential but recommended)  Blanket  (not essential but recommended to enhance the long savasana)  Refreshments

Unfortunately, we are unable to supply any of these for the foreseeable future

Drop-ins can not be accommodated at this time so please book in advance.

Please note: The Isbourne operates a minimum number policy. This means that if our minimum number is not met 24 hours before the session is scheduled to run, then we reserve the right to cancel the session. If you have paid a set fee for the cancelled session, you will get a full refund. Donations are non-refundable. We, therefore, advise customers to secure their place as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment. The Isbourne’s minimum number policy is under the guidance of the tutor running the session. Thank you for your understanding.

Why are there multiple price options?

As a wellbeing and educational charity, The Isbourne aims to make its courses and workshops accessible to all regardless of income. We have researched how other organisations fund their courses and come up with a three tier pricing system:

Supported rate: this fee is less than the Standard and allows anyone with financial challenges to still participate. You do not have to show proof, this is offered on trust.

Standard rate: this is how much we would like all participants to pay as it covers The Isbourne costs and supports the tutor.
Sponsor rate: this is a little more than the Standard fee and allows you to subsidise and support others who might not be able to pay the Standard fee.

You choose what tier of payment best suits you - no questions asked!
