Jazz & Picnic on the Castle lawns

Explore the Castle, Butterfly House and Grounds, then relax and listen to live jazz led by soulful female vocals and spirited gypsy guitar.  The Peanut Shuffle Club trio also feature the virtuosic talent of violinist John Pearce, and breathe their own exuberant energy into songs from the 20s, 30s and 40s, learned on the streets of New Orleans. Enjoy their music between 1pm & 3pm on the Castle’s lower lawns -  no additional charge - included in your standard admission fee.

Bring your own food or why not order a delicious picnic in advance from our Yurt Tearoom* and pick it up when you arrive at the Castle?  Call into the Ice-cream parlour for a refreshing local ice-cream too!
*From £35 for two, to include artisan breads, cured meat, cheeses, chutney, olives, cherry tomatoes, home-made sausage rolls, and dips.  Large bottle of sparkling water and half a bottle of wine.
