This year is the biggest and best festival yet, filled with a vast array of page and spoken word talent.

We have 3 new dates added too, with 2 exclusive book launches and a special event at the Olympus Theatre, Gloucester, featuring a selection of poets from the Forest of Dean.

 

A Message from the founder

Once a year in October, poetry takes over Gloucestershire and the City with an array of events, featuring a wealth of renowned local and national guest poets and the opportunity for the local community to engage with live poetry and workshops, as well as open mic at all events.

The Gloucestershire Poetry Festival is organised and promoted by the Gloucestershire Poetry Society. With each year, the festival grows in stature and impact with events across the city and surrounding towns. This is a place where poetry is for all, without pretension and brings inspiration to the local community.
