Sue Ryder hospice’s much-loved Autumn Fayre returns for 2022
Dates: Saturday 10th September 2022
Venue: Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice
A firm family favourite in many local peoples’ calendars, the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice Autumn Fayre returns on Saturday 10th September, in a bid to raise more vital funds to support people when it matters.
The annual fayre, which last took place in 2019, will mark the reopening of the hospice's grounds as it pitches up, once more, in the beautiful gardens of the Gloucestershire hospice - and with a long line up of activities and entertainers already agreed, it promises to be bigger and better than ever.
This year’s event, kindly sponsored by local estate agent, Perry Bishop, boasts a variety of attractions and activities including fun for the kids: a bouncy castle, garden games and face painting; goalie practice thanks to Cheltenham Town Football Club and some special, surprise visitors from Gloucestershire costume company, Iconic Legends.
Visitors will be spoilt for choice with an array of culinary delights on offer from candy floss and sweets to My Whippy and a BBQ, as well as a pop up bar from The Exmouth Arms and refreshments from Leckhampton Tea Rooms.
For those who love to party there will be a silent disco, in addition to live entertainment from The Music Man, Chill Dance Academy, Metz Big Band and Winchcombe Abbey Primary School Choir to name but a few.
People will also have the chance to chat to the hospice’s team to find out more about the services it offers local families, as well as its current job and volunteering opportunities.
Alysia Cameron-Price, Community Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice said, “We are really excited to welcome back our Autumn Fayre again this year. All money raised from the day will help Sue Ryder continue to support people at the most difficult times of their lives."
"A special thanks to this year’s sponsors, Perry Bishop, corporate partners like them play a key role in working to ensure that our charity can continue our vital work. We would also like to thank all of the local businesses and entertainers who have already agreed to support us, and our amazing volunteers, who have offered their time to ensure this is a truly special day for local people. It’s not too late to get involved, if you are interested in showcasing what your organisation has to offer, as well as helping us to raise funds then get in touch. Can’t wait to see you all there – visitors and businesses alike!”
Gavin Wallace , Director at Perry Bishop, said: “It's great news that this wonderful event, so popular within the local community, is taking place this year. We are so lucky to have this wonderful hospice on our doorstep and the Autumn Fayre is a brilliant fundraiser that we are delighted to play our part in supporting."
Entry is £2.50 and children under 12 are free. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
Gates are open 10am to 5pm at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Church Road, Leckhampton, Gloucestershire, GL53 0QJ.
