The Archaeology of Gloucester Docks - talk

Gloucester

Dates: 16/07/2025

Venue: The Folk of Gloucester, 99-103 Westgate Street GL1 2PG

7-8pm

When the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal was built it cut through Gloucester's history, in particular the site of Llanthony Secunda Priory. Over the last 200 years the docks themselves have changed and each decade has left reminders of the basin, buildings and railways of the docks. This talk with local historian Tony Conder looks at the physical and photographic record of change of the canal and dock.

Part of Gloucester Festival of Archaeology.

Tickets: £7
