Paint it Gold - Art Exhibition Ange Mullen-Bryan Paintings

Cheltenham

Dates: 24/05/2023 to 30/05/2023

Venue: Spring Gallery

Stroud Artist Ange Mullen-Bryan presents a solo exhibition of her recent contemporary landscape paintings depicting the vast lakes and forests of central Sweden. Ange works from her studio in Painswick in the heart of the Cotswolds and takes as her muse the Scandinavian landscape where she has spent a great deal of time over the last 25 years. These paintings are vivid, urgent expressions of a need to connect with nature, to immerse oneself in the treasure that nature provides.

Ange’s recent paintings articulate very clearly what is frequently hard to capture, communicate and hold on to, the powerful influence and value, the gold, nature possesses for us. At the same time they embody something darker - the ever present risk and reality that through not valuing this treasure that sustains us, all is lost.
