Tales of Witchcraft & Wonder

May Hill, Longhope, GL17 0NJ

Venue: May Hill Village Hall

The Tales of Witchcraft & Wonder events are organised by Gloucestershire band Inkubus Sukkubus (est 1989) as a way of celebrating the dark folklore and customs of Gloucestershire, and Great Britain as a whole.

To date, the band has released 27 studio albums, including their 'Tales of Witchcraft & Wonder' trilogy: 'Barrow Wake', 'Belas Knapp' and 'Sabrina'.

 

Support comes from Stroud-based Toadstone, who released their second full-length album, Cernunnos, in 2023 - a nature-driven collective of songs inspired by heritage folk stories.

Also performing will be John Putley of Glos Archives as 'The Witchfynder', and May Hill-based pipe, tabor and hurdy gurdy duo Bygonz.

 

There will be a licensed bar, wood-fired pizzas and hot drinks.

 

7.30-11pm, entry £15.

*Also, during the day (11am-4pm), there will be a Witches' Craft Fair in the village hall with free entry!
