The Adopt an Artist 2025 art trail is coming to a close next week with a very special art exhibition at 21 Westgate Street, Gloucester.

Through May and June visitors to Gloucester City Centre have enjoyed a linear art gallery where 26 artists have been ‘adopted’ by 22 shops, cafes and businesses who are showing original art in their windows.

In conjunction with the art trail we invited the public of all ages to enter a competition to make an artwork in response to the paintings, prints, stained glass and sculptures they have seen on the trail.

We have had a fantastic response to our competition and the judges have shortlisted 15 artworks. All the shortlisted art will be displayed for a week alongside the artworks that inspired them in our exciting new gallery space at 21 Westgate Street.

Winners will be announced and presented with their prizes at a private event on Sunday 22 June at the gallery.

The gallery at 21 Westgate Street will be open from 21 until 28 June: Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 11am - 3pm
