Apple Day at The Folk of Gloucester

Gloucester

Dates: 18/10/2025

Venue: The Folk of Gloucester, 99-103 Westgate Street, GL1 2PG

Join us for our free annual celebration of Gloucestershire’s orchards and cider industry! Working alongside the Gloucestershire Orchard Trust, we invite you to a day of music and dance that pays homage to the amazing variety of apples in Gloucestershire.

See the horse drawn cider press in action, chop apples using the pedal-powered “apple bike”, and try our scrumptious range of craft ciders from Severn Cider. Bring your own apples to be pressed - and a container to take the juice home!

Throughout the day, there will be performances from local folk bands and Morris dancing sides including Boss Morris and Lassington Oak Morris. Kids can make a moving caterpillar toy or apple decoration at our free kids’ craft workshop with local artist Ally Goff.

The cafe will be serving delicious home-cooked lunches, cakes, hot drinks and snacks. Entry is free with donations welcomed to support the upkeep of our historic building.

The event runs from 10am - 4pm.
