Veteran piano tuner Harry (Dustin Hoffman) is losing his hearing, while his shy apprentice Niki, whose once promising musical career is over, (Leo Woodall -The White Lotus, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy ) has such super sensitive hearing he wears earplugs to block out the deafeningly loud world. Together, they’re the best tuners in town. (And a great act to watch) But when Niki’s heightened sense of hearing turns out to give him a special skill at safe-cracking, he is exposed to a criminal but lucrative potential side trade which pulls him into increasingly dangerous territory and threatens a budding romance with Ruthie (Havana Rose Liu) a talented music composition student
A thriller that crackles with sharp plotting, rich characters and engaging performances “A pitch-perfect indie drama” from Oscar-winning documentary film-maker Daniel Roher.
