Our extensive and successful experience with online tuition for overseas pupils, (either English, including IELTS prep. or 11+ and private school entrance exams), meant we were able to quickly adapt in the pandemic and move all tuition online. We have found this an effective teaching model and therefore it continues to be our method of delivery, using TEAMS. Teaching materials are provided, including any hard copies and books (very much real world). This is because research shows that reading from books and making hand-written answers to questions, making notes, writing essays, builds more neural pathways and aids memory.

Clever Cat Tuition provides an individualised service geared to the needs of each pupil. Work folders and materials are included in the fee.

SERVICES OFFERED:

• 11 Plus/SATS/Private school entry/exam preparation.
• English & Maths tuition, either as short booster or ‘catch up’ courses; or long-term where extra support is needed.
• English as a second language, for pupils who do not speak English as their mother-tongue. These courses are offered to UK pupils, as well as those living abroad. We also provide preparation for International Cambridge English Exams.
• Literacy/language assessment & written report writing service for SEN.
• Dyslexia screening.
• Specific teaching/learning techniques for children with special/additional needs.

FEES:
Individual tuition is £35 per hour.

SEN Assessment/report writing is £50 per hour, (this will usually involve 2 one-hour sessions, plus additional time for scoring, analysing and writing report).

TUTORING FORMAT IS DESIGNED FOR THE INDIVIDUAL CHILD’S NEEDS:

• For 11 PLUS/entrance exam prep., apart from teaching curriculum content and question answering techniques, a lot of effort is made to instil a sense of confidence in the pupil to enable them to focus and tackle the challenge with positivity.

The first online ‘Meet and Greet’ session is offered FREE so a basic assessment and tuition plan can be made.

 

START-UP BUSINESS WORKSHOPS - 90 minute initial assesment £50.

Start-up workshops to help you take the first steps to setting up your own business or become a sole trader (self-employed). As technology becomes more efficient and job positions decline, alongside a drop in economic confidence, many people (especially young, relatively inexperienced workers) are finding it difficult to gain employment or work that is fulfilling.

It can be difficult to be objective about your abilities and potential to be an entrepreneur. We can help analyse your skillset and suggest possible pathways/fields that might be a good fit for you; help you develop a basic plan and give you the base from which to work, to develop your business.
