Clare Seed awarded Honorary Freeman of the Borough of Cheltenham

Public Hearts Defibrillator Campaign Founder Director Lead Volunteer and High Sheriff of Gloucestershire 2026, Clare Seed is awarded Honorary Freeman of the Borough of Cheltenham, the highest civic honour a council can bestow upon an individual.

Awarded by the Leader of the Liberal Democrats for Cheltenham Borough Council Rowena Hay at the Mayoral Inauguration and 200 guests on Monday 18 May 2026, welcoming Martin Horwood into office, with Cllr Mike Collins as Deputy Mayor.

  Public Hearts celebrates Clare's recognition and thanks Gloucestershire and the Defib Family for the support and togetherness that makes this lifesaving Campaign the success it is.

100% voluntary and not for profit community campaign, Public Hearts has donated and installed 119 lifesaving publicly accessible defibrillators into Cheltenham Gloucester Stroud abd the wider community, reaching as far as Ukraine.
