Cass Stephens shortlisted for Family Business of the Year 2026

The award celebrates family firms that have delivered quality service, worked hard and continued to innovate, recognising the vital role family businesses play in the UK economy.

For Cass Stephens, this recognition feels especially meaningful. We are an independent, owner-managed family business founded by the late Mike Cass in 1966, and today the business continues to be owned and managed by Mike’s two sons, James and Matt, together with fellow director Paul Baldwin. Nearly 60 years on, the values the business was built on still shape the way we work every day. Cass Stephens thanks its staff for their hard work and support in not only being nominated for this award, but in helping to build the company to what it is today.

From the beginning, Cass Stephens has believed in doing things properly. Treating customers fairly, offering impartial professional advice and building long-term relationships have always been at the heart of the business. Over the years, that approach has helped us earn the trust of clients across Gloucestershire and beyond, and it remains just as important to us today as it was when the company was first established.
