REVIEW: The Bottle of Sauce Events Space Launch

Cheltenham

Bottle of Sauce Cheltenham – Event Space Launch Party

Bottle of Sauce Cheltenham

An energetic and vibrant night out in the newly created event space. Out the box productions at the University of Gloucestershire provided a sensational line up of local, up and coming artists for The Bottle Of Sauce event space opening night!

The Bottle of Sauce has been a Cheltenham nightlife mainstay since its doors opened back in 2016. Based on Ambrose Street, The Bottle of Sauce has a loyal following of customers that are drawn to the venue for the relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and of course the famous Dodo lager! Not to mention the many live events that take place, including regular Cheltenham Jazz festival slots, pub quiz nights and DJ sets.
So, when I was given the opportunity to join them in celebrating their new live venue space, The Canteen stage, I couldn’t say no!

If you’ve ever visited the canteen space before (perhaps while indulging in a loaded Dodo burger or wood-fired pizza) you will have been familiar with the long tables and cosy atmosphere, however upon entering the space last night, it’s been transformed into a fantastic live performance space.

The amazing team at Out the Box, from the University of Gloucestershire, a production company with a focus on sustainable live music events, put together an electric line up of live music from the likes of local talent, Lucy Parish and Toast and huge headliner Imperial Leisure. The performances were top notch, showcasing fantastic young talent that created an electric atmosphere for the audience, the room was soon dancing and singing along!

The brand-new grassroots venue stage will be used for arts and music, with a capacity of 150+. Situated in the old ’Canteen’ space (which was a skittles alley once upon a time), the new stage will host Gig nights, Comedy and Spoken word, as well as DJ parties and everything in between, with a strong focus on local upcoming acts.

I look forward to future events and strongly suggest you check them out too!
