REVIEW: Barbour opens in Cirencester

A new Barbour Partner Store opened in Cirencester, 'The Capital of the Cotswolds', this weekend. Founded as a dedicated retailer of Barbour clothes in 1998, Outdoor and Country has burst onto Market Place - a bustling location in the centre of town. The iconic green and gold Barbour branding was easy to spot from the food market.

 

Taking a stroll over to the shop I was welcomed in by friendly staff and asked if there was any help I needed. I was happy to browse and felt no pressure to make purchases. I found the store to be home to a range of styles from popular collections, including wax, waterproof and quilted jackets. There were also tops, shirts, knitwear and dog accessories. There was a nice atmosphere provided by the non-intrusive music and hubbub of customers.
 

It was also nice to see an extra adjoining room, off to the right, that was home to more wax jackets and hoods, as well as a waxing table - a nice testament to the Barbour value of providing a quality product. I really like the idea that customers can take their beloved wax jackets in to be given a bit of attention.
