We offer personal, bespoke packages because we know every dog is different.  We are experienced at getting your beloved pet looking picture perfect - working alongside your chosen photographer; and happily, keep them company for as long as you need at your chosen venue and later in dog-friendly accommodation.  Our service on the day will match your dog’s needs and personality, and we will take care of everything from walks and meals to company and countless cuddles along the way!

 

About Short Legs Wedding Day Dog Care

Chris, a lifelong animal lover and dog owner, founded Short Legs Dog Care in 2017.  After years of experience working in the hospitality and wedding industry, she created Short Legs to ensure couples could enjoy their special occasions completely carefree — with their furry family member by their side.

In 2023, Chris was joined by fellow dog lover Trish, a friend and colleague of more than 20 years.  Trish brings a wealth of experience from the media industry, having worked as an events producer for national brands.

As demand has grown year on year, so too has Short Legs’ reputation.  Together Chris and Trish, along with other dog carers, now care for dogs at over 95 weddings annually, giving couples total peace of mind.  Not only do they truly know what they’re doing, but they care for every dog just as they would their own.

We had the pleasure of using Short Legs Dog Care for our wedding on March 21st, 2026, at the Lygon Arms in Broadway. Angie looked after our 3 dogs for the whole day and was the icing on the cake to a perfect day!

The whole experience from the initial enquiry to attending the actual day was professional, friendly and totally flexible to our needs.

Angie was like the ‘ dog whisperer ‘ with all 3 dogs as she had them eating out of her hands within minutes of meeting them.

The dogs were ring bearers which was a huge ask of them, but it all went incredibly smoothly with Angie in control.

It was such a relief not to have to worry about the dogs, knowing they were in excellent hands, being walked, fed and played with whilst we were having the wedding breakfast and into the evening.

Highly recommend!

Chris is wonderful and I would highly recommend booking her! We asked Chris to
look after our dog at home during our wedding day, and then pop over with them for
photos in the afternoon. She was amazing throughout, great communication
beforehand and so lovely too. She did an amazing job in making our dog (and us)
feel relaxed and comfortable, and we could tell they'd had a lovely day together!

Chris is a real pro; she is trustworthy, considerate, patient, and truly loves what she

Incredible dog sitting service on our wedding day

What an incredible service Chris offers. Nothing was too much and communication
was brilliant. If it wasn't for Short Legs Dog Care, our dog wouldn't have been part of
our incredible day.

Chris knew exactly what to do on the day and it was so seamless. We had a
wedding card on the table when we arrived back and she even took photos of us on
the day which was lovely as we had no idea and they've turned out great! We also
had photos of our dog during the evening where she looked totally relaxed.

We cannot express how grateful we are to Chris for looking after Poppy on our big
day. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. Chris was excellent from start to
finish; pre-communication was great, we were fully informed of the process and
pricing from the start, and Chris kindly arranged to meet Poppy beforehand to make
sure we were comfortable with everything.

On the day itself, Chris generously picked Poppy up from a family home and later
took her to the venue, which took the transport hassle away from us (she also
dropped Poppy back off after the wedding)! During the ceremony, Chris seamlessly
blended in with the guests and made the entire experience totally stress free for us!

Excellent!

Chris at Short Logs Dog Care made it so easy for us to have our dog Bonnie with us
on our wedding day. She was very communicative from the minute we booked her
and it made us feel so comfortable that we were leaving Bonnie in good hands. On

Amazing service, amazing team

I didn't even realise a dog chaperone was something we needed at our wedding but
having the Short Legs team was a godsend. Our pup was looked after by Trish and
we couldn't have asked for more. Our dog has 3 legs and Trish was so on the ball
with checking her energy levels and making sure she was safe considering it was
also a hot day. She was so flexible with her feeding time and made sure she was
happy and settled off site before leaving her. We would book with Short Legs again

Very professional, makes your big day easy

Chris looked after two of our dogs at the Matara Centre last month for our wedding.
She was great every step of the way, from organising and communicating before the
wedding about the various needs of our dogs and our expectations to how well she
worked with Matara and our Photographer Lee Hawley. We couldn't have made a
better decision choosing Chris to look after our dogs, she kept them relaxed and
