Cyanotype Workshop

Whittington Cheltenham GL54 4HD

Dates: 26/04/2026

Venue: Whittington Village Hall

Discover the magic of Cyanotype, one of the oldest photographic printing processes developed by Sir John Herschel in 1842. This non-toxic technique creates stunning cyan-blue prints using UV light.

In this workshop, Lisa will guide you through the preparation and mixing of chemicals, allowing you to print on various types of paper. You will have plenty of opportunity to experiment and we will look at different ways to create images, including making photograms with objects and using digital negatives on acetate. There will be ample opportunity to get 1-to-1 feedback and tips due to the small class size.

You will take home a collection of your own fabulous cyanotype prints and the knowledge to continue exploring this practice at home.

Workshop Cost: £85 to include all materials, refreshments & light lunch.
(Class size is limited to 6 participants so early booking is advisable.)
