Merrywalks was a tired shopping centre in the heart of Stroud that recently has been bought and is being renovated as we write this. On the night, artist, architects, town planners and citizens will present their ideas of what could have been in Merrywalks. This is an opportunity to allow the local community to dream and form an alternative and maybe progressive vision of future developments. This is not a campaign against what is happening in Merrywalks. we are trying to create a "playground" for ideas that could be happening at any given location.

This is not a public consultation hosted by Stroud Town Council! This is independently hosted by Atelier, Textile Craft Club and Workshops and supported by the Stroud Town Council. This is an event to discuss how and why we want Stroud to develop. Projects discussed have NOT been submitted for planning. There are NO developers involved in projects that will be talked about during the session. They are purely ideas that can and should be discussed.
