Celebrating 170 Years of YMCA Cheltenham – This is OUR life

Join us for an evening to honour 170 years of commitment and community impact at YMCA Cheltenham. This event will be held on Friday, 27th February 2026, at Cheltenham Town Hall. Doors open at 6:30 PM.

This celebration is both a nod to our past and a look to the future. We’ll explore how YMCA Cheltenham has grown and adapted to meet the evolving needs of our community, maintaining our focus on growth, support, and empowerment.

Our black-tie gala will kick off with a visit to our immersive room – developed and built by local artist Stella Ashmead, offering a small insight into the experience of a homeless person living on the streets – followed by a journey through our history, bringing 170 years of YMCA Cheltenham to life in a unique, interactive way!

The celebration will also feature a three-course dinner, live music and a showcase of talented individuals with a unique connection to YMCA Cheltenham. Throughout the evening, keynote speakers will share insights and stories, highlighting the important work of YMCA Cheltenham over the past 170 years – hear from individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by our programs and initiatives.

This is a chance to connect with fellow supporters, members, and community leaders who share a commitment to making a difference. Together, we will celebrate past achievements and look forward to the future with hope and determination.
