Tee off to save lives: Great Western Air Ambulance Charity’s annual golf day returns

Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) is calling on businesses across the region to sign up for its annual Charity Golf Day on Thursday 30 July 2026 at the warm and welcoming Kendleshire Golf Club. Teams of four will be treated to a great day out engaging with regional businesses, while helping to fund lifesaving missions in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, B&NES and beyond.

With GWAAC’s highly skilled Doctors, Paramedics and Pilots responding to a record number of call outs for two consecutive years, every penny raised at this year's golf day will go directly towards keeping the helicopter and critical care cars operational and the crews equipped with lifesaving kit.

GWAAC’s charity golf day promises a perfect blend of sport, socialising, and charity. The day begins with breakfast and practice on the driving range, setting players up for a fantastic 18-hole course where they’ll play alongside GWAAC’s Critical Care Team. At 14:00, golfers will be treated to a two-course fine-dining or roast lunch with entertainment from well-known UK Comedian Aaron James. There will be a raffle, an auction and presentation for the best team.

Other ways to support the event
There are several ways that businesses taking part can increase their impact on the day:

Donate a raffle prize and help to raise even more funds for GWAAC. All donors will be credited during the raffle draw, and logos will be displayed on screen.
Invite clients and supply chain partners. If another team joins you, both teams will receive 10% off the registration fee.
