Thames Head Singers, A Night at the Opera

A gala concert with the Cardiff Cotswold Opera Company.

This summer the Thames Head Singers are bringing the magic of opera to the Cotswolds. Professional soloists from the Cardiff Cotswold Opera Company will be joining this popular chamber choir in a dazzling selection of favourite choruses and arias from legendary composers, including Verdi, Bizet and Tchaikovsky.

To add to the sense of occasion, performers will be in evening dress. The audience are not expected to follow suit - but if you'd like to, please feel free!

This special evening will support local children’s literacy organisation, ‘Read With Me’ as they celebrate their 5th anniversary. Launched in 2020, they are a non-profit organisation providing one-to-one reading support for children in Gloucestershire, with a team of 350 trained volunteers.

Conducted by Andrew Hopwood and accompanied by Julian Elloway.

Doors open at 7pm for pre-concert drinks before the concert starts at 7.30pm.
