Come and Sing The Crucifixion by John Stainer

Venue: Beacon Hall and Painswick Church

We are Thames Head Singers - a friendly local choir from Stroud. We'd be delighted to have you sing with us in Painswick. We'll be practising and learning in the morning in The Painswick Centre's Beacon Hall (with tea and cake) and we'll move over to the St Mary's for the final rehearsal in the afternoon and an informal performance at 4pm.

This is more than a 'come and sing'. We'll be learning about the history of the piece and its publication from our resident expert Julian Elloway. Even more, we're looking for to getting coaching and experimenting with vocal techniques to help us sing longer, louder and healthier. Andrew Hopwood, our choral director, is passionate about singers getting the most from their voice without damage by understanding how their voice actually works
