Gloucestershire Symphony Orchestra Winter Concert

Pershore

Dates: 28/11/2026

Venue: Pershore Abbey

This November, Gloucestershire Symphony Orchestra brings the turning year to life in the beautiful, historic venue, Pershore Abbey.
Conductor Glyn Oxley leads a richly seasonal programme built around Glazunov’s enchanting ballet score The Seasons, a world of frost, blossom, harvest and revelry. At its heart, pianist Marcel Zidani takes on Liszt’s dazzling Piano Concerto No. 2, with the orchestra led by Hannah Green. The evening continues with Prokofiev’s witty Lieutenant Kijé, Morricone’s soaring music from The Mission, and Joanna Forbes L’Estrange’s A Season to Sing, featuring special guests the Vale Connection Choir, joined by local schools under chorus director Wendy Nieper. Tickets are just £20 and under-18s go free, so it’s the perfect winter night out for the whole family.
