Join us for a playful evening of sharing humour in a cosy space. There will be a great lineup of varied comedians including:
Fantastic Headliner – Meryl O’Rourke - Acclaimed stand-up comic and accomplished TV writer Meryl O'Rourke, revels in her bitterness. A potty mouthed potty trainer, she has delighted comedy audiences, written some of the best gags on telly and even hosted pop concerts. She supported Frankie Boyle for part of his last tour, at his request. She also supported him at the Hammersmith Apollo. In his book 'Work! Consume! Die!' he calls Meryl "Inspiringly funny". Her solo stand-up show Bad Mother… was a hit at Edinburgh and Brighton festivals.
Jon Wagstaffe – wonderful MC - Face paced, high energy observations. A whirlwind of energy
Darren Mortiboy – hilarious energetic Brummy. Appeared on BBC's Standup If You Dare with Jasper Carrot. Performed at the Leamington Comedy Festival and Presents Mortified Comedy Radio Show on Radio Tamworth.
Mark Pencherz - Brash, silly and out to entertain. Guaranteed to have the best shoes in the room!
Sam Michael is a stand up comedian and award winning podcaster who has been described as "effortlessly able to win over a crowd" (We Are Cult Magazine) and outright "hilarious" (BBC Radio Wiltshire). Doors open 7.00 pm for 8.00 pm start but why not come early for a drink or a bite at Smokey Joe's? It's a wonderful family-owned place with great food and a long history. If you'd like dinner, please aim to eat before the comedy starts. Book a table early by contacting Smokey Joe's. The food won’t be served during the comedy night.
