Team Benjamin Fashion Show in aid of CLIC Sargent Young Lives vs Cancer - Less than 3 weeks to go!

Don’t miss out on an incredible Team Benjamin Fashion Show in aid of CLIC Sargent Young Lives vs Cancer at John Lewis Cheltenham on Friday 27th September from 6.30-9pm.

For just £15 a ticket (under 11’s go free) with a complimentary glass of fizz and canapes, there is plenty for all the family; including story time, face painting and games for the children and a number of drop in events for adults including make up classes, new season fashion exclusives and a raffle…all while supporting young cancer patients.

The fashion show was the idea of Matt and Suzanne Smith who’s son, Benjamin, is currently receiving treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Benjamin was three years old when he was diagnosed. The Beads of Courage shown in the Fashion Show logo are a telling reminder of the treatment, including daily chemotherapy, that this brave now five year old has encountered.

Matt said: “We cannot wait to see not only our son Benjamin but other patients, past and present walking down the catwalk and having fun. CLIC Sargent have provided us with a house to live next to Bristol hospital during treatment, a social worker, funded a specialist nurse, tailored events, special cinema showings and a weekend break to Butlins at Christmas. This fashion show is our way of giving back to them”

Emily Waddell, the local CLIC Sargent Fundraising Engagement Manager said: “This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM), families like Benjamin’s are having to make huge journeys for treatment. In the last 12 months, over 4,500 families will have spent over £5million just getting to the hospital. CLIC Sargent help these families with financial grants and free accommodation at our Homes from Home but we rely 100% on generous donations to make this happen. Come and enjoy an amazing evening, wear gold and support a vital lifeline for young cancer patients and their families.”

Visit the John Lewis Cheltenham Experience desk for tickets or email emily.waddell@clicsargent.org.uk. There are only 200 tickets available for the event so don’t miss out!
